Yes, we do here at Walnut Creek CDROM on a FreeBSD 2.1 box (see
https://www-secure.cdrom.com/).  We had absolutely no trouble generating
our secure key, and I tend to suspect that the ISP in question was
suffering from something different than "OS incompatibilities", namely
misconfiguration.

If you need to talk to the guy who set up our own server at any point,
I'd be happy to put you in touch with him.  Again:  The current release
of FreeBSD (2.1) works *just fine* with the Netscape commerce server and
we ourselves use it.
