I am evaluating Wollongong's Pathway NFS Client for Macintosh for use
with a BSDI 2.0.1 server.
I am running PCNFSD on the server, which I am told is supposed to provide
authentication services for Mac clients.
However, my Mac fails to mount the BSDI server because the server cannot
authenticate my user log in (although this log-in works fine at the BSDI
console).
Wollongong suggests I may need a separate piece of authentication
software running on the server. They suggest NFSAD.
They also recommend file-locking software called LOCKD.
I'd appreciate hearing from anyone who has any experience using any of
this software, and who can tell me where to get it.
Thank-you.
