This means that the drive didn't recognize the floppy.  The command
was not accepted by the floppy controller.  Either your drive doesn't
generate index pulses anymore, or something else there is weird.

Normally, the ``(No status)'' message does only appear when
attempting to operate on an empty drive.  Send your thanks! letters to
IBM, please, for dropping the READY line from the floppy bus.
