    Works for me too, over a 28.8 modem link even!  I can even 
    cat the README files.

apollo:/root# mount gatekeeper.dec.com:/archive /gate
apollo:/root# ls /gate

    I suppose it could be useful.  Actually... hmm, my FreeBSD box
    is doing a fair job of caching.  I could get used to this :-)
