I have a requirement in which I have to change the installation procedure.
I still want to initiate the install procedure by booting from a floppy,
but don't want to load the kernel immediatelly. I want to put some of
my code in between. Where can I find all information about it.
Could someone of you please give me some pointers.

Pointers in the form of public domain software, some books, articles,
advise etc. all are appreciated.
