I'm trying to get my 1.7gig Seagate ST42000N SCSI-2 disk and my BusLogic
BT-545C SCSI controller to work with BSD 2.0.5.

BSD recognizes the card, etc., etc., but when I try to label the disk, I get
a "Bad pack magic number (label is damaged, or pack is unlabeled" error
. (Using the command "disklabel -B /dev/sd0")

"Fdisk -u /dev/sd0" lets me specify various traits (cylinders, heads, sectors,
etc.,) but when I attempt to write the changes to the disk, I get the following:
"ioctl DIOCWLABEL: Operation not permitted by device"

Any ideas?
