Just try FreeBSD if you have the time and disk space. In my opinion,
thats the highest virtue of all the free OSes you can try them. Is not
like going out to a store buying a software package and then you get
into hazzles if you want to return the software package and the dealer
does not want to take it back. In fact, that would be and interesting
feature to add to freebsd once you install it you can 't get rid of it even
you format the disk :)

Yes, it requires time and effort to install any of the free OSes and that
time is money , etc... One factor that some forget is the ease of upgrading
the system and how well you can communicate with the free OS community.
For instance, in FreeBSD we use sup to upgrade the system not just the kernel
and to rebuild the system we "make world" . It makes like a whole lot easier
than to catch a patch here and there and whatever hazzle one has to go thru
if you don't have have the equivalent of "make world".
On the communication side, we have freebsd mailing lists to discuss various
aspects as well as mail archivals with a simple to use web interface so you
can search on different key words with ease.

	Enjoy,
	Amancio
