  Hello All,

I have a couple of basic questions:

      1. I have a Sparcstation 1 and I would like to know where I
can find the most stable release of NetBSD for it. I went
to ftp.eecs.umich.edu and got a release from there (I didn't
         get the snapshot version).

      2. Where can I find a good version of X11R6 for it? (When I
installed the version I found on ftp.eecs.umich.edu, I found
that the libraries in /usr/lib were too old. I tried to
overcome the problem by using the usr.lib.gz from the
snapshot area. When I did that, I could only run 'startx'.
'xdm' would not work. Also, 'startx' would only work *once*.
Every invokation after that would cause an xterm to be put
on the screen, but the mouse wouldn't work)

      3. Where can I find a good set of FAQ's (specifically: data
on how to configure the serial port for a modem. I tried
to do it the same way I do under SunOS - by mknod'ing a cua1
and editing /etc/remote - but tip says the device is not
         configured).

Well, that's about it. All I want to know is where Sparc
people get a good, usable release of NetBSD w/X11.

     Thanks in Advance,

      -Tom Hurton
