I've been having problems with PPP off and on for the past few months.
Basically I just purchased a new USR 28.8 modem and need to know the
proper settings to connect to my PPP server. I have disabled XON/XOFF and
enabled RTS/CTS, but when I connect to my server I am only able to
connect via telnet/ping/ftp to the actual server with these settings...all
other connections time out. I have learned in the past that my server
does not use pred1 compression and this has also been disabled.
If I disable flow control completely using at&h0 then things work fine
(with a bit of lag) for about 5 minutes and then the PPP link simply hangs.
After the hang I can still connect to my server, but not to any other
hosts. I know this has nothing to do with DNS or routing, anyone wanna
send me their USR settings??
