One problem some of my customers have experienced using USR Sportsters
is that their 28.8's are running the old chipset.  If the date of the
chip is < 4-1-95, there is a free upgrade from USR.  It takes forever
to get and their support is terrible, but the chip seems to fix their
connection probles.
