I have a MediaVision RENO scsi-2 cdrom portable and an adaptec 2825
scsi controller card. The card is initialized and comes up ok. It
probes the bus, finds the CDrom and creates the cd0 at bootup. However,
when trying to mount the CD (an ISO-9660) the CDRom activates.. I hear it
whirr a little and then I see:

cd0(aic0:1:0): timed out
Nov 9 23:51:50 ctx /kernel: cd0(aic0:1:0): timed out

This repeats until I open the CD-Rom. The CDRom runs and runs (with the
busy light on) until I open it up. I've done everything I can think
of. Checked termination, lowered bus rate, increased the SCSI-wait time
in the kernel. No matter what I do I can't get it to mount the CD.

I also get a message when booting that the cd0 device is in transition
from not-ready to ready. After reading the news archives a bit I came to
the conclusion that I should ignore this... Am I right in thinking that?

I am using FreeBSD 2.0.5 with the aic6360 code stolen from FreeBSD-stable
(via aic6360.c)

Any help and pointers would be GREATLY appreciated.
Thanks in advance,
Jay K.
