   Thank you very much for this piece of advice... I'd completely 
forgotten about the info program.  =)  In the course of reading this and 
doing some minor modifications I found my problem.  It was actually a 
combination of problems concerning UUCP and sendmail.  I have a new 
problem, tho, which I think I will post about in a moment.
