The DES part of the floppy provides the bdes command which is useful
for encrypting/decrypting files using a software implementation of
DES.

The kerberos stuff is useful for authenticating users across the
network in a more secure fashion than the traditional r-commands (rsh,
rcp, etc) do.  If you're a security nut, install it.

No need to install either one unless you miss/need the functionality.
