I have this problem every time I install freebsd be it on a 486/25 with 4
MB or a pentium 133 with 16mb (Ive done both and point inbetween)

The ftp method leaves something to be desired. On full debug i tries for
some dirs/files that report back as not existing (it tries to cd to dists
for instance) and on a failure, moves partially again (it usually fails
on the bind dist on bind.ab - the tries for manpages even though I said
Yes to retry the bindist)

You have to try several times to get a good install - and you have to go
in and out just right - I dont know how to describe it any better than
that other than its consistant. So the original poster of this note is
not alone.
