The script I have now : works to print ascii on my DeskJet, but I have not tried anything else. : The problem is, that `echo' and `pr' commands are slightly different : on FreeBSD and Linux. FreeBSD's (2.0.5-ALPHA) `echo' does not know -e : option (to treat \<number> as a code). Also, on FreeBSD's `pr' indent's : argument may not be empty, so I had to put a check if indent is requested, : and if it's not, do not put `-o' to the `pr's command line at all. Don't know where the problem is, you mention. I had _none_ of your problems described above ... If you want to make an enhancement, then please describe to problem more precise to me. Perhaps a logfile of that what's going wron in your opineon ?! Please, don't contribute modified apsfilter versions, without contacting me first. I'm the one and only (as the author of this package) who makes official releases ... Easy to guess why ... I'm the one who gets the whole lotta e-mail, if something is going wrong ... ! : The apsfilter has A LOT of comments inside of it, whic explain most : of the things you have to do. Yes it obviously has ;-)) : Also, I never tested it for PostSrcipt-printing (ghostscript will not : compile without X installed)... I think this is not true. But why don't you use precompiled FreeBSD packages ??? They run fine ! Did you perhaps forget to comment out the x11 driver ????
