$ I solved my INN 1.4 problems.

$ The thing has run clean since. So either MMAP isnt perfect or INN's use
$ of it isnt.

I've been running innd 1.4 w/ lotsa odd/weird patches on a 2.0.5 box
for about a week (was running on 2.0). I am using MMAP, and it's
working fine (I don't have the renumber problem). I have two incoming
feeds and over 6k active newsgroups.

I'll watch it closely, though. Will report if I get odd behavior.
