Apparently, I bundled the wrong directory off to agate.  8-(.

All of the patches are still OK, but:


o	The README file should have been named "patchkit-0.1.README"
o	The first "test -d" in "m_install" and "m_deinstall" should
	have been a "test -f" in the "patches" program itself.
o	If you install the kit some place other than "/patch", you
	will have to modify the "PATCHDIR" variable in the "patches"
	program, or make a symbolic link to the correct directory.
	If done between steps "c" and "d" in section "4" of the "README",
	this would be "ln -s patch /patch".  Do this *only* if you
	pick a different directory in step "a".

I have uploaded the correct files over top of the old ones.  You can either
do the fix yourself, or re-download the kit.  Thanks to everyone who gave
the rapid feedback that allowed me to repair this mistake.
