I got a DEC VT420 terminal yesterday that now replaces my
Wyse 120 terminal that stands next to my bed - yes, be sure,
it's a good choice for reading and writing mails and news!
(Other people get up in the morning to get their hands on
the newspaper - I simply take the keyboard and turn on the
terminal :-) )
The Wyse 120 ran as a VT220 and worked fine, but the VT420
has a nicer case and a IMO more pretty font.
I don't know the differences between VT220 and VT420 control
sequences - VT420 must be compatible as it runs _now_ as a
VT220. Does anybody have a termcap record for a VT420, can
anybody tell me the differences (are there significant
differences) ?
Thank you very much in advance.
Bye,
Martin
P.S.: If there is anybody who wants to call me ill for
having a terminal next to my bed, be sure, I'm not.
I just prefer reading (or writing) laying on my back
rather than sitting in some chair.
