I would suggest building it yourself.  All the TeX stuff builds very smoothly
if you follow the directions.  Xdvi comes up with one error where you have
to change one of the X11 include files (No, I'm not kidding, XFree 3.11 has
a note in that spot to change that line!) but that's easily handled.

I usually build software myself, just because I don't trust other people
to do it for me.  Unless, of course, the software was badly packaged in
the first place; then I just don't have the time. :P
