I would like to make a suggestion to the FreeBSD team in this
context.

In the installation of FreeBSD there appears to be no option
to fetch files from a user defined machine which does not support
anonymous ftp. If this feature is added users could be encouraged
to get the files once from the primary site and then consequently use
their home machine to install additional machines. This would cut down
the load on the primary and mirror sites.
