I am new in BSDI.....

I want to have an ftp user who can browse his home directory only, but I
want to control who can ftp (so I don't want to use anon ftp).

I tried to configure a user to use restricted shell,
by creating a file called /bin/resh ( which contained /bin/sh -r ), and
then change user's shell to /bin/resh through vipw ( I don't think, this
is the correct procedure).

Anyway, I can telnet and login using this special user, and get
restricted shell (tested using cd command).

When I ftp and tried to use this user, it disconnected straigh away,
without giving me any chance to enter password.

Did I miss something , or this is impossible ?

Any advise will be appreciated.

Thanks and regards
