Hi,

what's a good choice of notebook (if any) for running FreeBSD?

This would be mostly for document preparation with Latex.
So it has to run latex, X Windows, xfig, xdvi, ghostscript,
ppp on an internal modem.

It would be nice if it also drove a PCMCIA SCSI interface for
an additional external disk.

I have the impression that notebooks have their own set of
quirky chipsets and the reward-to-pain ratio for supporting
them on a volunteer basis would be quite low. So I am wondering
what people do. Thanks ---Luigi
