Hello,

we here have a ASUS P55TP4XE board with 32Mb, P90, Bt946c,3* DPES 31080 disks
and a 3c509b card.
The maschine acts as a newsserver.

It hung two times in the last week with no messages no nothing. Didn't answer
to pings etc. After rebooting (pressing reset) the bt didn't scan for disks
only power cycling helped.
The bt has firmware Version 4.25J and dmesg says:

> bt0: Bt946C/ 0-PCI/EISA/VLB(32bit) bus
> bt0: reading board settings, dma=5, int=11
> bt0: version 4.25J, async only, parity, 32 mbxs, 32 ccbs
> bt0: targ 0 async
> bt0: targ 1 async
> bt0: targ 2 async

The disks support synchronous transfers ...

Any hints?
