I'm afraid the driver doesn't say which models it was tested on..
the problem is that the proprietary interfaced devices (e.g. the sony)
can change drastically between versions..
SONY has no qualms about changing the interface without notice,
I mean, who runs without the BIOS or DOS drivers?

did Linux work on that drive?
if so then I gues we need to find out what changed.. (sigh)
