How do,

I'm about to look at printing from my FreeBSd 2.0.5 box (already working
with CAP[1]) to the local Apple LaserWriter 320. A experiment with the
print.cookbook supplied with CAP gets me almost working, but my printer
daemon keeps dying. The lw-errs file contains

"Can't open .banner: Permission denied"

which is, I think, a papof error. But after checking permissions on
files it still fails. Even if I point it to /tmp/.banner as the filename
to use.

Anyone got this working and can pass on some tips? The lwpr program
works successfully, so I can definitely print to the printer, but I
would like it to work with the spooling system.
