Somebody wrote me today that it is planned to include it in NetBSD 1.1.

I have updated Stefans implementation of the device driver for NetBSD-current
(September, didn't update my system since). You can find it via anonymous ftp
at boss1.physik.uni-bonn.de, directory pub/NetBSD/elchware, file
aic7xxx_like_adaptec2940-NetBSD.tar.gz .
