Hi. I'm running FreeBSD 2.0.5 and was attempting to install some of the ports
collection by grabbing the skeleton files from ftp.freebsd.org. This worked
nicely for the most part-very slick, BTW (kudos to the people who developed
this idea). I installed various things-es, xcoral (had problems with this
one), tcl 7.4, etc. Unfortunately, I attempted to do something else too
stressful during one of these installs, and the system crashed.

The result is my current problem. Apparently, the package info got wiped out
in the crash or the file sys check afterwards. Is there any way to fix this?
(short of a total reinstall?)

Also, I have one other little question. In Xwindows, the mouse
behaves...strangely. I can not select items on the menus of x applications.
In other words, I can pull down the menus but can't select anything-the black
(select) highlight is not visible. Any ideas?

Thanks

James Norman
