It gets better:

# chmod 700 /mnt
# mount zorch:/export /mnt
# ls /mnt
etc/		local/		src/
home/		scratch/	var/
# suspend

Suspended
% ls /mnt
etc/		local/		src/
home/		scratch/	var/
% cd /mnt
% pwd
pwd: Permission denied
