If you create the appropriate cat? directories, this will happen - ie.

    cd /usr/share/man
    mkdir cat1 cat2 cat3 cat4 cat5 cat6 cat7 cat8

If these directories don't exist (default), the formatting will be done every
time.  If they do, the first time you 'man' something, it will be nroff'd into
the cat? directory.  Subsequent 'man' calls will read the cat? version.
