We can't get our FTP daemon (ftpd under bsdi) to return directory listings when anonymous users login. We have the ftpd chroot'ed to /usr/ftp/ and the etc, bin and pub dirs all owned by root and wheel, all dirs and files are properly chmod'ed and the ls executable is in the /etc/ftp/bin/ dir. The problem is, when an anonymous user logs in, they can't get a dir listing, but can change dirs and download files if they know the exact name of the file. What can we do to fix this?!
