Hello,
I have a PCI ATI GX w/ 2MB DRAM that uses the new AT&T Ramdac and I got it to
work at all resolutions using a commercial X-Server from X-Inside. There is a
demo that allows only one x-client that can be downloaded at ftp.xinside.com,
but you will also need a patch, a new ati.ddx, that can be downloaded at
crab.xinside.com under /usr/X11R6/lib/X11/AcceleratedX/modules. If you replace
the ati.ddx included with the demo with this version, it will work great.
After testing it out, I purchased the full product for $99 and it has been
worth it. It works great.
