Had my little pc humming away nicely, all set up, I could telnet from my
macs to it, quite cool..

Tried (operative word) to install CAP so I could print to DeskJet.
Needless to say, I now have a VERY virgin install of FreeBSD on my
machine, and for the life of me, can't recall the steps to get the machine
to 'see' the net and to get the net to 'see' the FreeBSD machine.

Last lines of boot sequence:

writing to routing socket: Network is unreachable
add net 224.0.0.0: gateway free.adeptsolutions.com: Network is unreachable

I've done the /etc/hosts thing, the /etc/namedb/* thing, nothing!

I can't even ping it from my NeXT.

Please help!

Second Question: where is the ip address stored?

Thanks.

Please post && e-mail all suggestions.
