-Adduser is a nifty script that adds the user's info into two files
-/etc/passwd and /etc/shadow(possibly...if it's not there, you aren't
-shadowing and don't worry about it for now). Edit the file /etc/passwd
-by hand, and add the user by following the previous examples. The fields
-are all separate by :'s. Leave the password field blank and have the
-user type in "passwd". Here's the layout of the passwd file.

Adduser is a script yes, possibly perl in 2.0 (I can't remember)
I'm not SURE if it was inluded.. possibly not.
you can add users by editing passwd file..
use 'vipw' to do this. It will automatically update the shadow passwdfile
and the associated databases..
the format has two extra fields from the linux one.. (when seen in vipw)
nobody:*:uid:gid::0:0:Unprivileged user:/home/dir:/bin/sh
you don't edit /etc/passwd directly, otherwise the databases aren't
updated.
-The uid should be unique. The gid should have a corresponding
-number/name in /etc/group.
don't forget to make a home directory..
In 2.0.5 ther eis a directory /usr/share/skel with sample
'.' files that set up the path.. I'm not sure if this is true for 2.0

-You have to have the path set in your path environment variable. If you

you rlogin directory should have a file in it
that sets these up at boot..
for Bourne shell.... .profile
for Cshell .login and .cshrc
they are executed when you log in..

It's sitting over on screen 2 (<CTL><ALT><F2>) waiting for you
to answer some questions..
this was (Rather stupidly) ommitted in the documentation and appropriate
people have been beaten with wet noodles.
-Um, beyond me as far as the BSD install goes. You can always compile it
-for yourself. Also, check to see if it allows you to specify packages.
-Another thing you could try is untarring the package. First untar into
-the /tmp directory as this might produce weird results.
