Hi All!
I'm a little puzzled by the output of netstat -r on my 2.0.5 box.
First, my interfaces:
ep0: flags=863<UP,BROADCAST,NOTRAILERS,RUNNING,SIMPLEX> mtu 1500
inet 192.168.0.1 netmask 0xffffff00 broadcast 192.168.0.255
ether 00:20:af:6c:7f:69
lo0: flags=8009<UP,LOOPBACK,MULTICAST> mtu 16384
inet 127.0.0.1 netmask 0xff000000
sl0: flags=c011<UP,POINTOPOINT,LINK2,MULTICAST> mtu 552
inet 192.101.75.8 --> 192.101.75.8 netmask 0xffffff00
Second, my /etc/hosts:
127.0.0.1 localhost
192.168.0.1 cutie-local
192.101.75.8 cutie.ka.sub.org cutie
192.101.75.8 pm-ka.sub.net pm-ka
192.101.75.3 subnet.sub.net subnet
192.101.75.2 ka.sub.net ka
Third, netstat -r:
Routing tables
Internet:
Destination Gateway Flags Refs Use Netif Expire
default cutie UGSc 0 0 sl0
localhost localhost UH 0 557 lo0
cutie cutie UH 1 0 sl0
192.168 link#2 UC 0 0
Question: why doesn't the last line read
192.168 cutie-local U 0 0 ep0
?
Why is this a cloned route and what does link#2 mean and, most important,
where's the interface for that route?
None of my routes shows ep0 as the outgoing interface but the one to the
locally connected Ethernet should, IMHO.
