But you forget that old SysAdmin adage:  Make something idiot-proof, and 
they'll make a better idiot...

Having SEEN what "trained security people" do with things like 
firewalls--not only running things like telnetd and ftpd (just putting 
them on non-standard ports), but then bragging about it to strange hackers...

Nothing surprises me in this industry any more.
