Hi to all you BSD people,
I am getting ready to build a machine in order to run BSD unix for
personal interest. I am concidering to buy a 486DX50 ISA bus motherboard and
a SCSI Adaptec Controller 1542 in order to hook a Fujitsu (or similar) 1.2GB
disk and a QIC tape streamer. The questions are:

	* Has anybody run BSD on similar configurations succesfully?
(i.e. no problems with large disks, scsi ids and other hardware problems)

	* Any idea on which tape streamer is out there on the market that
will have a scsi interface, will read the QIC-24 standard (70MB tapes
from Suns) and will have a reasonable price?

Any information on the above questions will be greatly appreciated.
Please answer by e-mail and I will then summarize.

Thanks in advance,

K J Dryllerakis
