The drive is supported by Linux, so source code should be available. 
I'll try to find the relevant source code and see if in Linux there's just one
driver for the 52x and 56x drives.

Never thought I'd miss my CD-ROM drive that much! Although it's slow, 
it's certainly faster and cheaper than SL/IP at 9600 baud :-(
