I always found simple polled I/O much simpler, although it is really ugly and inefficient, certainly in a multitasking environment. : :If you have information on the 522/523 command set and precise programming :details, that will help getting support added for those drives. I hope the Linux source will help. Hopefully it isn't licensed to strictly. Never thought I'd miss my CD-ROM drive that much!
