Hi, I have been working on setting up a host system and have run into several problems that
I need some help with.

I am running FreeBSD 2.0.5 and have the following needs,

I want to set up the system for a Host WWW / FTP server and so far after blowing the
setup about 10 times to date, If anyone can help me in detail I would be grateful.

  What typical settings are needed for;

Groups - file so that I can execute programs and not get the "command not found"
messages, and settings for ( slipp/ppp ) on dialin connections.

The related settings for "master.passwd", "passwd" and any other files.to allow
dialin accounts other than (ethernet & terminal sessions) I figured out how to getthe dialins and ethernet
part working but thats about as far as I have gotten.

The other thing that I suspect is that I need to change the ownership and permissions for execution of files
and this is so confusing. I can see the program files but only get the "command not found"
message even when I check the permission with " ls -l " and structure with " ls -CF " commands.

What I need is a complete set of working samples from someone that is running a system to follow as a guide
for my system. I learn by example better than trying to figure out some things from scratch from the manuals.

I have been told to "go read a book" by several people including those "HELPFUL" people that published the
FreeBSD cdrom, This simply does not cut it in my estimation. I read but without seeing working data I just
dont seem to get the idea..

I have the distributions of; Httpd , WWW, FTPd and all that stuff and it's interesting but
since I have not found any printable manuals with concise information I seem to be lost to some extent.

If anyone has the information, Please share it with me...

 Thanks in advance....
