What is your CPU or motherboard? Most likely, it happens on 66 MHz bus MB.
e.g. Pentinum66, Pentinum-100, or Pentinum-133. They require 60 ns memory.
However, good 70 ns memory chips can do marginal working.
If your motherboard uses Intel Triton PCI chipset, the problem is obvious.
This is because Intel Triton PCI chipset really works in high speed.
The new motherboards tend to use this chipset now, even Intel Triton II.
Under this situation, the most memory module, such as SIMENS, OKIO, etc.,
will work on the marginal status. There are a very few memory will not work
in this case. No one is wrong. You just need to use right memory chips.

There is a easy way to test this problem. Put the suspect memory on the first
bank, and run MS-DOS 6.22 highmem driver to test. If highmem test fails,
then it will not work under BSD.
