I've just installed FreeBSD 2.1 SNAP on the 2nd IDE drive of my 486.
(I've got Windows 95 on my first IDE drive.)

However, I cannot get FreeBSD to boot from the 2nd drive. I've tried re-
installing about 5 or 6 times now and specifically told the installation
routine to install the Boot Manager but it simply won't.

Now the silly thing is that FreeBSD 2.0 boots just fine from the second
drive, so I installed the boot manager using the FreeBSD 2.0 boot
floppy. I now get the usual choice of F1 for DOS or F5 for disk 2.
Whichever I choose, it always boots Windows 95!

I shall be eternally grateful to anyone who can offer any suggestions on
how to get it boot with having to use the floppy and entering
wd(1,a)/kernel every time!

Thanks,

Mike
