Daring to challenge the will of the almighty Leviam00se, Thorsten Kukuk
(jkuku1@uni-paderborn.de) had the courage to say:

: Hello!

: For testing purpose, I have set up a FreeBSD workstation in our

WHAT VERSION OF FREEBSD, FER CHRISSAKES!!

: local net. As NIS Servers we use a Sparc and a Linux box.
: I get the users and groups from the NIS Server, and all my Users
: can log in. But id user only shows this groups from the user from
: the local group file, not the groups which stands in the NIS group.
: If the main group of the user stands only in a NIS group, id shows
: for each other group in the NIS map, in which the user is, the
: name and id from the main group.
: Its something like this:

: id kukuk(??) uni-pb(1000), wheel(0) uni-pb(1000) uni-pb(1000) ....

: Thorsten

I have to take some time to try to parse this correctly (sorry,
but it's hard to understand exactly what you're trying to say here),
plus I need to get my test machine machine up and running again.
At the moment I can't think of a failure mode that would account
for this behavior, I think it's fairly obvious there's a bug
somewhere.

I have hacked the getgrent() code a bit since 2.0.5 though, so I
need to check things against the new code first.
