It didn't auto detect. Once I turned it on via ~p in the PPP console and
switched back to the main install window, the installer did connect to the
distribution site and started to retrieve the root system, but just seemed
to hang there. The internal modem uses hardware flow control.

What do the ........ in the last line of the debug console mean? Are they
progress indicators? Any way to monitor traffic? How do I know if the
installer is still receiving a file or if the link has died?
