I am trying to install the latest SNAP via PPP using the new PPP capable
version of TIA on a shell account for PPP server.I log into the shell,
start tia -ppp, switch to packet mode in the FreeBSD PPP virual console
(note: this required step is not mentioned in the help file!), and voila,
the FreeBSD installer connects to the ftp site retrieving the root file
system.

Unfortunately that's as far as I get. The PPP console shows a "write: no
such process" and the debug console shows a number of dots in the last
line, presumably process indicators, that do not increase in number after
filling about a third of the screen (which is when I first checked).

Any ideas?

TIA,
