Hi again...I hope this is the last time I'll need to post in here!

I've now managed to connect to my local provider using pppd/chat.
I used 'defaultroute' as a pppd option. When I connect i'm provided with
my local ip address, and the host's.
I can ping to my own ip address, but pinging the host, or any other ip
does not work - I get 'network is down'.
I tried 'route add default <host ip>' and also with -hopcount 1
at the end, but I get the same result.
Anyone out there help?

Thanks

Tony
