Ummm ... not _really_ ... i.e. there is no NetBSD specific FAQ.  One is being
worked on.  There is a 386/Free/NetBSD FAQ maintained by Dave Burgess
(I'm pretty sure he still maintains it) ... but I don't know where you
can find it.

Well, you can read the yp(8) manual page, along with the manual pages for
ypbind(8), ypcat(1), ypmatch(1), yppoll(8), ypset(8), and ypwhich(1).
Some of these manual pages have been updated in NetBSD-current since
the addition of support for the more sophisticated YP prototypes for
inclusion/exclusion of netgroups in /etc/passwd.  If you're running
-current, see also the group(5) and passwd(5) manual pages.
