When I asked BSDi about this 6 months ago, they said they had NO plans
to add symmetric multiprocessing capabilities to their OS.  :(

They may have changed their mind(s) since then...

Its too bad; we are writing network games, and need lots of CPU power.
A multi-processing platform is going to be required when (and if) the
games become popular.
