Only for the per-char benchmarks. That is normal.

The drive is a Barracouda and is not capable of sending/receiving 8
MB/sec. I didn't calculate, but I think it should max out somewhere
between 5.5 MB/sec and 6.5 MB/sec (in theory). A SGI indy R 4600 PC
drives this HD at 5.3 MB/sec (block read).

I have about 500 results from bonnie. Mail me if you want a copy.
