Assuming the BIOS I downloaded is not buggy (where
did you get yours from, NCR ?) I can think of two possibilties

1: 3.06.00 is incompatible with my MB/BIOS (66M Intel P5, 1.10.00.AF2)

2: I may need to reformat the disk with the 3.06.00 BIOS
   installed, did you upgrade from earlier version 
   or format with the 3.06.00 installed ?

I'll try it again when I get enough courage to 
install the 2.0.5 CDROM and Ill put up with
the minonr annoyance of having to access the
CDROM twice when first powered up which is
what I was trying to solve with the 3.06.00 BIOS.
