I have a 386 with binnary installed from disks. It has an SMC ether
card that is recognised as we0. everything was working nicely till I
tried to set up the network on it. I uncomented the we0 line in
/etc/netstart and rebooted. the console is flooded with

/386bsd: reject65340 messages. The number is mostly 65340 but is some
times 65342, 65344, 65366. if I type

ifconfig we0 down
the messages stop but this doesn't help to get the network started. Is
there something I am missing (probably so) and what is it.

thanks in advance.
