let me add my own .02 worth into this copyright/infringement
potpourri. and i quote from isbn 0-201-06196-1
the_design_and_implementation_of_the_4.3_bsd_unix_operating
.... by samuel j. leffler et al

on the page with the copyright and the publisher information etc
theres a paragraph that states

'UNIX is a registered trademark of AT&T Bell Laboratories in the United
States and other countries...'

so. we are now no smarter than when we started?
i forgot what we were discussing. actually, i have heard of this
purely as a rumor--the death-star <well thats what i call it> symbol
you know, the orb made with line-art so often seen with at&t logos
was once untm-ed and un <c>-ed. then some joe-schmoo noticed and
copyrighted it before the execs at at&t realized. at&t had to
pay him $$$ to buy it back/pay royalt etc. anyone ever heard of this?
truth?
